It is with great sadness to share that the roller skating industry, especially, Skateway- has suffered a huge loss. Max Rogers was the ultimate pioneer of roller skating in the surrounding area, a legend. He designed and built Skateworld of Kettering, owned/ran Rollerworld, Super Skate in Xenia, Skateland in Downtown Dayton, Piqua 36, Skateway Trenton and Skateway Middletown. A true mentor of roller skating, friend, father, husband, grandfather, always telling a funny joke and ALWAYS showing us how to be a better skater. We are saddened by his departure but have been inspired by his legacy to continue what he was so passionate about. Our deepest condolences to his family. Linda will carry the torch.  It is our job, all of us, to carry what we've learned from Max for many years to come. On behalf of Skateway, THANK YOU, Max... for sharing your craft with us. We salute you and love you!
